On January 31, Taxfyle, an on-demand accounting platform, is set to introduce its new artificial intelligence customer assistant, named Luis. This development aims to enhance the tax filing experience for users by providing quick answers to queries regarding necessary documents and other relevant procedures that could accelerate the filing process and maximise potential tax refunds.
Taxfyle states that once users initiate their tasks on the platform, they will have the option to interact with Luis. The AI assistant is designed to facilitate the customer journey, making it more efficient. However, Taxfyle assures that users can opt to speak directly with a customer support representative or a tax professional if they prefer a more personal interaction. Despite the involvement of Luis, the actual preparation and filing of tax returns will continue to be handled by qualified accountants via the Taxfyle platform.
Luis’s development is powered by advanced large language models and has been trained on over 300 CPA and IRS publications, enhancing its reliability and accuracy while minimising the occurrence of misinformation, a concern often cited in AI deployments.
“We believe Luis is a significant addition to our platform,” remarked Tati Leon, director of product and marketing at Taxfyle. Leon elaborated that the AI assistant will streamline the customer experience, save time for professionals in the field, and maintain the essential personal touch that clients expect when dealing with their tax matters.
This introduction of AI technology within the accounting sector marks a trend towards automation and innovative solutions designed to improve efficiency and user satisfaction in business practices. As the landscape of technological advancements rapidly evolves, the application of AI in traditional fields such as tax preparation indicates a shift in how services may be delivered in the future.
