Samsung Officially Unveils the Galaxy S24 FE and New Tech Line-Up

Samsung has officially announced its latest addition to the Galaxy portfolio, the Galaxy S24 FE, along with two new tablets and the LTE edition of the Galaxy Watch FE. This announcement follows the premature revelation of the Galaxy S24 FE on Samsung’s own website a couple of days ago.

Galaxy S24 FE: Features and Pricing

Starting at $649.99 for the 128GB storage option and $709.99 for the 256GB model, the Galaxy S24 FE offers a range of features geared towards enhancing user experience. The device boasts a 6.7-inch OLED display with slimmer bezels compared to its predecessor. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400e processor, which, for some, might seem a downgrade from the Snapdragon chips seen in the US versions of the S24 series. Samsung assures, however, that the larger vapor chamber in the S24 FE will enhance performance, especially during gaming.

The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary lens, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, both equipped with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP selfie camera. Samsung’s ProVisual Engine, an AI-driven camera engine enhancing photo quality, makes its debut in the FE series with this model. Additionally, AI features such as Generative Edit for photo editing and Note Assist are included.

The phone supports IP68 dust and water resistance, seven years of OS and security updates, and houses a 4,700mAh battery, improved from the previous iteration's 4,500mAh.

Availability and Colours

The Galaxy S24 FE will be available in Blue, Graphite, Gray, Mint, and Yellow, and can be ordered starting October 4.

New Tablets: Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and S10 Ultra

Samsung has unveiled two new tablets, the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and the S10 Ultra, priced at $999.99 and $1,199.99 respectively. Both tablets feature a 120Hz AMOLED screen, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, and come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The S10 Plus features a 12.4-inch display, while the Ultra model boasts a 14.6-inch panel.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Plus has up to 512GB of storage, 12GB of RAM, and a 10,090mAh battery. It also includes a 12MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra steps up with up to 1TB of storage, 16GB of RAM, and an 11,200mAh battery, supplemented by a dual-lens 12MP selfie camera. Both tablets come with the S Pen bundled in for enhanced productivity.

Performance and AI Integration

According to Samsung, the new tablet models offer significant performance improvements over the previous generation Tab S9 Ultra. Users can expect an 18% increase in CPU performance, a 28% increase in GPU performance, and a 14% boost in NPU performance. These enhancements will particularly benefit Samsung’s AI functionalities such as Note Assist and Sketch to Image.

Both tablets will be available from October 3, and pre-order deals include substantial trade-in values and bundled offers.

Galaxy Watch FE with LTE and Pre-order Promotions

Additionally, Samsung has announced the LTE edition of its Galaxy Watch FE, going up for preorder at $249.99, with availability starting October 3. Samsung is promoting various pre-order deals across its new range of products, including enhanced trade-in values and discounts.

Summary

Samsung’s latest unveiling showcases its continual push towards AI integration and performance enhancements across its devices. With a combination of the new Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, and the Galaxy Watch FE LTE, the tech giant aims to offer a suite of products catering to a wide range of consumer needs and preferences.
