Senator Tommy Tuberville Urges Vice President Kamala Harris to 'Drop Out' of Presidential Race, Predicts Trump Victory
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama has publicly called for Vice President Kamala Harris to withdraw from the presidential race, asserting that former President Donald Trump will emerge victorious in the upcoming election.
In a recent interview on Fox News' "Mornings with Maria," Tuberville responded to a question regarding Harris' economic strategies by suggesting she lacks the fundamental knowledge required to lead the nation. "How in the world is she going to be the leader of the free world if she can’t give you basic 101 economics?" he queried during the broadcast hosted by Maria Bartiromo. Tuberville further stated, "It’s embarrassing that we would even put her in this situation. She should drop out today and let somebody else run. I don’t know how they plan on getting her across the finish line."
The senator has made the controversial assertion that Harris is the "first-ever AI presidential candidate," created and promoted through extensive use of social media platforms. "They’ll spend billions of dollars to get her across the line... She’s the one they want because they can control her. That’s what it’s all about," Tuberville claimed.
Tuberville, a staunch supporter of Trump, went on to predict not only Harris' eventual defeat but also confidently forecasted a Trump win despite current polling data. "President Trump's gonna win this," he stated. "The polls are wrong. Everywhere I go, everybody is saying, 'Coach, we have to get President Trump across the line.'" As of the latest national polls, Harris leads Trump by a narrow margin of 3 percentage points among registered voters, holding 47% compared to Trump's 44%.
Beyond political commentary, Tuberville also shared his thoughts on the upcoming college football game between Alabama and Georgia, a match he plans to attend with Trump and fellow Senator Katie Britt. "It’s gonna be close. It’s gonna be hard to beat ‘Bama in Tuscaloosa. I had a hard time. I did it a couple of times, but it’s hard to beat them there," he remarked, drawing on his decade-long experience coaching Auburn. During his tenure, Tuberville maintained a notable record against Alabama, including a six-win streak and four initial victories in Tuscaloosa before the hiring of Alabama’s current coach, Nick Saban. Tuberville’s coaching career at Auburn culminated in a decisive 36-0 loss to Alabama in 2008, after which he was dismissed.
Senator Tuberville's comments have drawn considerable attention and are expected to add further discourse to the already charged atmosphere of the 2024 presidential race.
