Ola Electric Announces #HyperService Campaign to Expand Service Network and Enhance Customer Experience
Bengaluru, September 27th, 2024 — Ola Electric, a key player in the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market, has unveiled its latest initiative, the #HyperService campaign. This campaign is set to fortify its service network and provide a superior after-sales experience backed by cutting-edge technology. The initiative is marked by the company's commitment to double the number of its company-owned service centres from the existing 570 to 1,000 by December 2024.
In a strategic move to accelerate the EV adoption rate across the country, Ola Electric has also announced an ambitious EV Service Training Program. The program aims to train 100,000 third-party mechanics under its 'Network Partner Program', equipping them with the skills needed to service electric vehicles. This initiative is designed to democratise EV expertise, ensuring that mechanics across India are well-versed with the specific requirements of EV maintenance, thus facilitating wider EV penetration.
Starting from 10th October 2024, Ola Electric will introduce a quick-service guarantee for its customers, rolled out in phases. If a service case exceeds one day, customers will be provided with a backup Ola S1 scooter, alleviating any inconvenience during the service period. Additionally, customers holding an Ola Care+ subscription will receive Ola cabs coupons, valid until their service request is resolved.
The #HyperService campaign also features the deployment of AI-powered maintenance and remote diagnostics. These technologies will proactively detect potential issues before they surface, allowing for pre-emptive action to be taken at the customer’s location. The AI features will be made available to all Ola customers starting from 10th October 2024, promising a seamless and advanced ownership experience.
Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ola Electric, commented on the launch: “In the last three years, we’ve built a 7 lakhs strong community and secured a leading market position. We have around 800 sales stores but only about 500 service centres. With the launch of #HyperService, we aim to expand our network and deliver the best-in-class ownership experience with on-demand and AI-powered services. This campaign is dedicated to enhancing the service and ownership experience for our community, and we will continue to innovate with service initiatives tailored to our fast-growing community.”
In addition to the #HyperService campaign, Ola Electric is driving EV growth in tier-2 and tier-3 cities through its Network Partner Program. This initiative, aimed at areas with low EV penetration, has already seen the onboarding of 625 partners. Ola Electric plans to scale this to 10,000 partners covering both sales and service by the end of 2025. The program allows for rapid expansion with minimal capital investment from partners, thereby boosting the EV footprint in urban and rural markets alike.
Currently, Ola Electric offers services through approximately 570 company-owned centres nationwide, providing a wide range of automotive solutions. Customers can book appointments through the Ola Electric Customer App (CApp) or visit local service centres for personalised assistance.
Ola Electric’s product lineup includes the expansive S1 portfolio. It comprises six offerings designed to cater to diverse customer needs at various price points. The premium models, S1 Pro and S1 Air, are priced at ₹1,34,999 and ₹1,07,499 respectively. The mass-market segment features the S1 X+ at ₹89,999, and the S1 X portfolio, available in 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh variants, priced at ₹74,999, ₹87,999, and ₹101,999 respectively.
To further allay concerns over battery lifespan, Ola Electric offers an 8-year or 80,000 km extended battery warranty on its products at no extra cost. Customers can extend this warranty with an add-on option, increasing coverage up to 1,00,000 km for ₹4,999 or up to 1,25,000 km for ₹12,999.
Through these initiatives, Ola Electric is making significant strides in enhancing the service experience for its customers and promoting the adoption of electric vehicles across the country.
