Apono Secures $15.5 Million in Series A Funding
Apono, an innovative leader in cloud access security solutions, has successfully raised $15.5 million in its Series A funding round. This round was spearheaded by New Era Capital Partners, with additional investments from Mindset Ventures, Redseed Ventures, and Silvertech Ventures. The latest influx of capital brings Apono’s total funding to $20.5 million, underscoring the high level of confidence investors have in the company’s capabilities and future prospects.
Apono’s platform is designed to offer robust cloud access governance, leveraging artificial intelligence to reinforce security through least privilege and anomaly detection frameworks. This approach is particularly critical in the current landscape where distributed cloud environments are becoming more prevalent. The funding will be instrumental in accelerating Apono’s product development, expanding its U.S.-based sales and marketing staff, and enhancing customer support services. These efforts follow a notable 300% increase in the company’s revenue over the last three quarters.
Rom Carmel, CEO of Apono, remarked on the significance of the investment, stating, “This investment will enable us to continue delivering innovative identity and access security solutions to meet the evolving needs of modern enterprises.” The company is planning to introduce new AI-based access management products and expand support for enterprise customers, marking a significant step toward solidifying its market position.
Ziv Conen from New Era Capital Partners commended Apono’s ability to tackle critical cloud security issues. In addition, Arthur Goren of Hewlett Packard Enterprise highlighted the platform’s seamless integration capabilities, emphasising its effectiveness in sustaining a secure, least-privilege cloud environment.
With this substantial backing and a strategic focus on expanding its U.S. operations, Apono is set to redefine the landscape of cloud identity security. The company's solutions are designed to help organisations ensure secure and efficient operations amid the increasing adoption of cloud technologies.
