Qantev, a pioneering AI-powered platform, has successfully secured €30 million in a substantial funding round led by Blossom Capital, which sees existing investors Elaia, Omnes, and Raise Venture continuing their support. The funds are earmarked to enhance the platform's capabilities, attract top-tier talent, and fuel global expansion efforts.

Founded in 2019 by CEO Tarik Dadi, a former lead data scientist at AXA, and CTO Hadrien De March, previously a quantitative analyst, Qantev aims to address significant challenges in the health and life insurance sector. The industry is grappling with rising medical costs projected to increase nearly 10% by year-end, alongside pressures from chronic diseases and ageing populations. The demand for health insurance is surging, driven by these factors as well as COVID-19 related backlogs, reduced public healthcare funding, and growing purchasing power in emerging markets. Overall, the global health insurance market is on a trajectory to reach a valuation of $2.38 trillion by the end of 2024.

Qantev has developed a suite of AI solutions designed to streamline and automate the health claims process, drastically reducing the time it takes from several days to mere minutes. By leveraging historical claims data to gain insights into patient journeys and market-specific behaviours, the platform empowers insurers to make swift and accurate decisions. This enhancement in efficiency enables healthcare professionals to dedicate more time to patient care rather than administrative tasks, while operational costs are potentially reduced by up to €8 million annually.

Currently, Qantev's AI-driven platform is operational in 12 countries, including the United States, Mexico, and various Asian markets, serving industry giants such as AXA, Generali, and FWD. The company's global presence is supported by teams across Paris, Hong Kong, and the UK, with a notable expansion in workforce size over the past year.

CEO Tarik Dadi expressed that the company's recent growth, highlighted by the new funding, underscores the pressing need for their innovative solutions within the sector. He acknowledged the unique combination of increased healthcare costs and demand as drivers for Qantev's success, attributing it to the platform's capability to streamline claims processes effectively.

Ophelia Brown, the founder of Blossom Capital, noted Qantev's strategic focus on the burgeoning health and life insurance market. Brown praised Qantev's proficiency in AI and data analytics, emphasising its capacity to address the substantial challenges faced by insurers and to scale alongside their growth ambitions.

With total funding surpassing €40 million, Qantev is poised to strengthen its position in the market and continue its innovative advancements in transforming the operations of health and life insurers globally.
