The TD SYNNEX Inspire conference took centre stage in Greenville, South Carolina, focusing heavily on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping future business opportunities. Held over the course of a week, the event brought together industry leaders and partners keen to explore new avenues for growth and innovation.
At the forefront of the event was Patrick Zammit, who assumed the role of CEO in September, succeeding Rich Hume. During his keynote address, Zammit outlined TD SYNNEX's strategic vision to enhance partner capabilities in the evolving technology landscape. The company, a leading distributor in the IT sector, aims to ensure partners are well-equipped with necessary skills and resources to seize new business opportunities. This includes the creation of new business units focusing on cyber resilience and AI infrastructure.
"We are committed to being a pivotal partner by concentrating on two key elements: experience and growth," Zammit declared. He emphasised the need for operational excellence and promised continued investments in systems and processes to deliver optimal value to partners. "Our goal is to facilitate transformative experiences while fostering growth, as the market continuously presents new opportunities," Zammit elaborated.
Zammit also announced intentions to expand services significantly, noting that data-driven lead generation, digital services expansion, seamless self-service, and automated transactions are crucial focus areas. "We aim to streamline data exchange and ensure easy access for our partners, whether on mobile or desktop platforms," he explained.
Reyna Thompson, soon to be the President of North America, echoed Zammit's sentiments. Thompson, a long-time leader in the organisation, reassured partners of business continuity amidst leadership changes. As the successor to Peter Larocque, Thompson pledged to maintain and enhance the distributor's value proposition. "Our priority is to intersect with partners wherever they are on their IT journey, showcasing our capabilities and value in ways that are most beneficial for them," she stated.
A major highlight of the conference involved discussions on monetising AI. With significant participation from major tech entities such as Lenovo, Nvidia, Intel, and Microsoft, the topic underscored AI's transformative potential. Jim Lee, from Microsoft, spoke about AI's sweeping impact across industries, describing the sector as reaching an 'AI's iPhone moment'. Discussions also focused on the anticipated transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11, seen as a critical opportunity for AI-enabled device sales.
Pete Trizzino from Dell Technologies pointed out the imminent PC refresh as a massive business opportunity, urging partners to act swiftly in bringing AI-enabled solutions to their customers.
Further supporting its partners, TD SYNNEX unveiled the Destination AI Practice Accelerator. This initiative is designed to fast-track AI market efforts and streamline monetisation pathways for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). "Our goal is to simplify the complexities and demystify trends, providing clear playbooks that lead to tangible revenue opportunities," explained Thompson.
The conference also took a moment to address recent natural disasters, acknowledging the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton on partners and the community. Greenville, recently restored with power, received financial contributions from TD SYNNEX to aid in recovery efforts. This gesture was publicly appreciated by Greenville's Mayor, Knox White.
The event concluded with a heartfelt tribute to Peter Larocque, recognising his pivotal role in initiatives such as TD SYNNEX Share The Magic, which has raised substantial funds for family support programmes across North America. The conference thus combined forward-thinking technological discourse with community-focused compassion, setting a holistic tone for future engagements.
