In a landmark event for technology enthusiasts and business leaders alike, Lisbon recently hosted the first-ever conference entirely dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI), AIVØLUT1ØN. The event took place in the Sala Tejo of the renowned MEO Arena, marking a significant moment for Lisbon as a hub of technological discussion and innovation.
This pioneering conference was spearheaded through a collaboration between Europalco, Southern Europe's largest provider of event solutions, and Knower Impact Meetings. The event was notably distinguished by its sophisticated audiovisual production, featuring state-of-the-art technology that underpinned presentations and discussions on AI.
Europalco mobilised a dedicated team of 28 experts who crafted an elaborate audiovisual setup, the planning of which spanned two rigorous months. This extensive preparation paid off, as the technological execution was nothing short of impressive, immersing attendees in an environment that was both visually and intellectually stimulating.
Central to the event's visual experience was a 25-meter curved main screen that served as a prominent backdrop to the speakers, further supported by a 4-meter circular screen at the stage's centre. The visual arrangement was completed with 24 meters of side projections that enveloped the audience in a dynamic and engaging display of digital content. These visuals, varying from keynote presentations to AI-generated graphics, were brought to life using two Christie Boxer 30,000-lumen projectors and four 16,000-lumen projectors. These projectors guaranteed sharp, vibrant images powered by the Christie Spyder X80 processor and PVP server for crisp visual transitions.
Acoustics were no less sophisticated, with Europalco employing an L-Acoustics Kiva sound system known for its exceptional clarity. This setup was crucial in ensuring that every speech, discussion, and musical interlude was heard with impeccable precision, contributing significantly to the event's overall success. Precise audio enhancement allowed the content to resonate clearly within the venue, from technical demonstrations to complex AI discourses.
The conference also excelled in its lighting design, enhancing the futuristic theme that AI so aptly represents. The lighting arrangement included an impressive array of 14 mega point lights, 12 LED floodlights, 64 wash lights, and 8 BMFLs. These elements were controlled via an advanced console, working in harmony with visual projections to complement the technological narrative presented during the event.
The technical team at Europalco managed to coordinate these complex AV elements seamlessly, ensuring smooth integration of cameras, projections, and live content across the venue. Three cameras captured every detail, with live feeds projected onto screens, guaranteeing optimal visibility and engagement for all attendees.
CEO Pedro Magalhães commented on Europalco's involvement, voicing pride in the team's ability to deliver an audi-visual setup that was both technically precise and thematically coherent with the ambitious aims of the AI-focused event. The successful execution of AIVØLUT1ØN underscored the potential of innovative AV solutions in creating high-impact, immersive events that are both educational and engaging.
In essence, AIVØLUT1ØN not only met its logistical and technical objectives but also embodied the creative and transformative potential of AI. The combination of advanced technology and insightful content positioned the event as a beacon of future possibilities in the realm of Artificial Intelligence.
