Cognizant, a leading global provider of IT services, has recently unveiled significant enhancements to its Neuro AI platform, aimed at enhancing AI-driven productivity and fostering business growth through innovative multi-agent AI orchestration features. This development marks an important step forward for enterprises seeking to integrate advanced artificial intelligence solutions into their operations more effectively and securely.

The updated Neuro AI platform by Cognizant is designed to accelerate AI adoption by enabling users to develop models using synthetic or anonymized data, ensuring privacy while providing predictive insights critical for informed decision-making. It includes industry-specific configurations which allow businesses to scale AI applications with greater efficiency and tailored to their unique operational needs.

A noteworthy study conducted by Cognizant in collaboration with Oxford Economics highlights the growing interest and investment in AI among enterprises. Despite 77% of enterprises aspiring to leverage AI to unlock new revenue streams, a significant number face obstacles in scaling these technologies enterprise-wide. Only 26% reported successful implementation of AI use cases across their organizations. The study also notes that while an average of $50 million is earmarked for AI investments this year, enterprises remain cautious about scaling AI across all spheres of their operations.

In response to these challenges, Cognizant's enhanced platform aims to bridge the gap by facilitating the AI productivity-to-growth journey. The platform's key capabilities include determining priority challenges, outlining scopes, and employing anonymized or synthetic data to craft predictive AI models. These models can forecast outcomes, provide recommendations for achieving business objectives, and assess different use cases, assisting businesses in harnessing AI effectively.

The platform's new features also include an Opportunity Finder, a discovery tool that identifies potential applications for AI decision-making, and a Scoping Agent that evaluates the impact of these applications on performance indicators. Additionally, the Data Generator feature creates synthetic data for securely testing such applications, while the Model Orchestrator coordinates multiple agents to establish a coherent AI system.

A significant emerging trend accompanying these advancements is "Agentic AI," a novel phase in AI evolution characterised by systems capable of operating independently, making decisions without human input. Vultr, a cloud computing platform, has announced new serverless capabilities for agentic AI, focusing on scalable deployment and optimizing performance at the data centre edge. Meanwhile, Dovetail has rolled out Dovetail 3.0 with features like “Ask Dovetail,” enabling user interaction with customer insights and facilitating immediate, tangible feedback.

Agentic AI is garnering interest across various sectors, including sales automation, cybersecurity, marketing, and IT management, although it does bring challenges such as LLM hallucinations and concerns over data privacy. The rise of multi-agent systems is helping to overcome these hurdles, offering collaborative intelligence that can tackle complex tasks exceeding the capabilities of standalone agents. A Gartner study suggests that this collective approach helps achieve shared objectives, resulting in more adaptable and scalable solutions.

Babak Hodjat, Cognizant's Chief Technology Officer for AI, commented on the potential of multi-agent AI systems to address prevalent business challenges. He noted that Cognizant Neuro AI now places business leaders, rather than just data scientists, at the forefront of AI-driven decision-making, enabling rapid testing and deployment of AI models.

Headquartered in New Jersey, Cognizant continues to invest in AI to bolster its offerings. This year saw the company opening an AI Lab in San Francisco with the aim of driving digital transformation and revolutionising its clients' operations. Cognizant is also deepening its collaborations with major industry players such as Google Cloud, Microsoft, and Palo Alto Networks to maximise the potential of emerging technologies.

These developments underline the evolving landscape of AI and its growing role in shaping business strategies and operational efficiencies, with Cognizant positioning itself as a pivotal player in this transformative journey.
