i-PRO, a company that evolved from Panasonic Security, has announced a significant expansion of its Aero PTZ camera line with the release of 19 new models. These state-of-the-art cameras are designed to withstand extreme weather and environmental conditions while providing advanced AI-driven analytics.

The newly launched Aero PTZ cameras are engineered for resilience and performance, offering up to 4K resolution. Notably, they boast a powerful zoom range of up to 40x, enabling detailed surveillance from considerable distances. The cameras are constructed to endure harsh conditions, adhering to rigorous standards such as the IK10 for impact resistance, MIL-STD-167-1A for military-grade durability, and IP66/68 for water and dust resistance. Additionally, their resistance to heavy salt corrosion is certified with the C5-M rating, making them especially suitable for maritime environments.

Built for versatile environments, these cameras can operate in temperatures ranging from -50 to 65°C (-58 to149°F), thanks to i-PRO's innovative transparent glass heater. This feature ensures uninterrupted performance, even in the most challenging climates. Further enhancing their durability, the Aero PTZ cameras are equipped with a sophisticated pan and tilt motor mechanism that guarantees stability and precise movement in winds reaching speeds up to 270 km/h (168 mph). This capability exceeds the wind speed categorisation for category five cyclones and hurricanes on the Saffir-Simpson scale.

The new models are also infused with AI-based technology, incorporating an auto-tracking function to maintain focus on individuals and vehicles under various lighting conditions, including complete darkness. This is facilitated by infrared (IR) illumination, effective up to a distance of 560 meters (1,837 feet).

A standout feature of i-PRO's Aero PTZ line is its open AI development platform, which allows the installation of multiple AI applications tailored to specific operational environments. Users can customise their surveillance solutions by integrating up to three AI apps simultaneously on the 4K model and up to two on the 2MP models. This flexibility opens possibilities for diverse applications, such as using the Vaxtor Optical Character Recognition (OCR) application to read shipping container numbers at ports while simultaneously deploying the Noema detection app for fire and smoke monitoring.

Security is a paramount focus for i-PRO's latest offerings, which incorporate robust cybersecurity measures. These include signed firmware to prevent unauthorised updates, protection against brute-force password attacks, and compliance with FIPS 140-2 level 3 standards using a secure element chip. This suite of features helps protect the cameras from potential cyber threats, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Overall, i-PRO's introduction of these versatile and durable Aero PTZ cameras marks a notable advancement in surveillance technology, addressing the needs of industries that operate under severe environmental conditions. The launch highlights i-PRO's commitment to innovation and high-quality security solutions adaptable to various surveillance requirements worldwide.
