Motorola Introduces 'Circle to Search' Feature on Select Devices

Motorola has officially announced the rollout of its new 'Circle to Search' feature, joining the likes of Samsung and Pixel in incorporating this innovative technology. This feature, which allows users to easily search for information by simply circling the desired content on their screens, was previously exclusive to Samsung and Google Pixel devices.

Introduced initially with Samsung's Galaxy S24 series in January, 'Circle to Search' quickly became available on Pixel devices and various other Samsung models. Anticipation for the feature's expansion grew when Samsung hinted at a wider Android release by October 2024. Xiaomi responded to this by equipping its latest devices with the feature in September, followed closely by Honor, which announced its intention to include it in the upcoming Magic V3 foldable and Honor 200 series. Now, Motorola has taken a significant step, integrating the feature into its lineup.

While Motorola confirmed the imminent release of 'Circle to Search' on select models, the company has not specified which devices will be compatible. Despite this, Android Authority reports that the Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra are among the first to receive the new capability.

In addition to 'Circle to Search', Motorola disclosed that certain models would support Rich Communication Services (RCS), Gemini Live, and new AI functionalities from Google Photos. This complements Motorola's recent innovation showcase, which highlighted a proof-of-concept that combines Large Action Models (LAM) with Moto AI. This technology promises to enhance how devices interpret and interact with their environment, empowering natural conversational interactions to perform complex tasks.

As Motorola embraces these new technologies, the company's decision to withhold details on specific compatibility has generated considerable speculation. Analysts suggest that premium models, such as the 2024 Razr foldables, are prime candidates for these updates, yet the pace and scope of the rollout remain unclear.

As the integration of 'Circle to Search' proceeds, Motorola joins a growing number of Android manufacturers aiming to enhance user experience through intuitive AI-driven features. With more announcements expected soon, the tech community is watching closely to see how these developments unfold over the coming months.
