San Francisco, CA - In a striking development within the tech sphere, Bluwhale, an innovative AI web3 start-up, has announced an ambitious project to revolutionise how individuals can monetise their digital resources. On October 22, 2024, the company revealed the commencement of its Node Sale, an initiative designed to expand its AI network on the blockchain by leveraging idle smartphone capacities for significant computational tasks.
The Node Sale, running from October through November, invites participants to contribute data from their smartphones to Bluwhale’s AI system. This initiative marks a pivotal move towards decentralising AI, with potential future contributions to include storage and computing power. The programme initially focuses on data verification tasks, positioning smartphones as critical nodes in this expansive network.
Speaking about the developments, Han Jin, CEO and co-founder of Bluwhale, highlighted the need for radical shifts in AI infrastructure within the web3 environment. "In web3, the components of data, compute, and storage are dispersed across various entities. We need a cohesive approach to orchestrate these elements, which is why Bluwhale is intensifying its focus on mobile devices," said Jin.
The paradigm shift comes at a time when smartphones, notably with new releases such as the iPhone 16, increasingly offer enhanced computing capabilities. Despite this, a significant portion of these capabilities remains underutilised by average consumers. Bluwhale’s vision seeks to transform these idle resources into valuable assets within a decentralised network. The initiative empowers individuals to monetise and control their data, enabling passive income opportunities through their smartphones.
The Node Sale allows individuals who accumulate over 500 BLUAI points to stake them for operating Master Nodes, with accompanying incentives such as airdrops planned for node operators. Participation in this initiative remains voluntary, aiming to bolster the network's decentralisation efforts. Bluwhale aims to sell approximately 100,000 network nodes, aspiring to raise up to $10 million. Node prices are set to rise progressively, with discounts available through promotional codes or referrals.
Bluwhale presents itself as a significant player in the web3 space, having grown from 300 to over 3,000 enterprise accounts since January. This growth reflects a broadening interest among companies, particularly in the DeFi, L1/L2, and gaming sectors, which are keen to leverage Bluwhale’s platform to understand customer behaviours and enhance product offerings.
The announcement also underscored Bluwhale's strategic roadmap, which involves an easier setup process for nodes via its mobile app. This approach is intended to lower the barriers to entry for those interested in contributing to or benefiting from the network, enhancing the overall degree of decentralisation. Additionally, the Bluwhale strategy includes forming a Node Alliance that bundles rewards and resources with partner projects to further incentivise participation.
Founded by experts from Stanford and Berkeley, alongside a former TikTok AI leader, and backed by $7 million in funding, Bluwhale is on a mission to redefine the interaction between AI and blockchain applications. By harnessing user data, Bluwhale aims to significantly boost user engagement, acquisition, and retention across decentralised platforms.
As Bluwhale continues its journey, its efforts are set to reshape how digital footprints are perceived and utilised, transforming them into lucrative and beneficial asset classes for individual users. Interested parties can access further details through Bluwhale’s newly launched mobile application.
