Haven, a platform renowned for embedding servicing functionalities into the branding of lenders, has announced a strategic partnership with Kastle, an artificial intelligence (AI) startup. The collaboration between these two technology firms aims to introduce AI-powered voice agents tailored for mortgage borrowers, aiming to streamline operations and potentially reduce servicing costs. The new service is slated to become available to Haven's clientele in the first quarter of the coming year.

Jonathan Chao, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Haven, expressed enthusiasm for the forthcoming integration. "Our partnership with Kastle is a significant step towards our mission of eliminating complexity from the mortgage experience and providing a comprehensive hub for homeowners," Chao stated in a press release. The integration promises to make life easier for users by embedding all necessary servicing functions directly into the lender's brand, thus maintaining a seamless user experience.

Notably, Haven and Kastle have both gained recognition in the industry for their innovative contributions. Last month, at the National Mortgage News' Innovation Challenge, the two firms finished in the top two positions among a competitive group of 20 technology providers. Kastle wowed the judges with its demonstration of an AI voice agent capable of engaging in a natural-sounding conversation. The software impressed the panel by mimicking the voice of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell during a live phone call.

Haven, which was established in 2020, has rapidly gained traction within the mortgage sector. One of its standout features, the Haven Wallet, allows borrowers to manage their mortgage payments and purchase home-related services via a singular platform, regardless of which entity owns the servicing rights. This innovation upholds the lender's branding, thereby providing a cohesive customer experience. The upcoming collaboration with Kastle signifies a step towards further convenience, offering users a singular point of phone contact for all mortgage-related inquiries.

Kastle brings its expertise in AI to this partnership, offering capabilities in both AI voice and text agents designed specifically for servicing purposes. The startup provides adaptable sales scripts and the ability to track call intents, a notable advancement over traditional systems where live agents may not accurately capture consumers' reasons for calling. The platform, according to Kastle, can adeptly manage fluctuations in call volumes and offers availability 24/7, ensuring consistent support for borrowers.

As the mortgage industry remains competitive, particularly with a prospective refinancing wave on the horizon, tools that enhance customer retention and streamline service delivery are in high demand. Haven boasts that it has already achieved a twofold increase in recapture rates for its partners. As the industry continues to evolve, collaborations like that of Haven and Kastle highlight a growing focus on integrating advanced technology solutions to refine the mortgage experience for borrowers.
