Indoor Lab, a prominent figure in lidar perception and analytics solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with Aeva to enhance safety, security, and operational efficiency within major airports and mass transit systems in the United States. Aeva, renowned for its advanced lidar systems, will provide its Atlas 4D lidar sensors for integration into Indoor Lab's cutting-edge Overwatch Perception platform.

The collaboration marks a significant advancement for Indoor Lab’s Enterprise Analytics Suite for Critical Infrastructure. This platform utilises AI-driven analytics to continuously monitor and manage both indoor and outdoor environments, thus offering vital data to upgrade infrastructure management across various sectors.

Aeva's Atlas sensors were chosen for their outstanding features, including instant velocity detection and immunity to sunlight interference, coupled with their sleek, compact design. This agreement stands as Aeva’s first industrial client commitment for the Atlas technology, with the distribution of sensors set to commence immediately.

The initial deployment focus will be on some of the most bustling and significant airports across the country. Among these are the progressing New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and San Francisco International Airport. Following these implementations, the technology is also intended to be rolled out across several undisclosed sectors such as agriculture and in smart infrastructure applications at theme parks, urban settings, and other large-scale venues throughout the United States.

Patrick Blattner, founder and CEO of Indoor Lab, expressed confidence in the selection of Aeva's lidar technology after a comprehensive review of available 3D lidar technologies. Blattner highlighted the advantages Aeva’s 4D technology offers, particularly its capacity to deliver instant velocity data and resist interference from sunlight, important for the reliability and efficacy of the platform. According to Blattner, Aeva is the pioneering company to commercialise 4D lidar technology at a scalable production level, enhancing Indoor Lab’s offerings significantly.
