Recent data reveal intriguing insights into how users interact with various AI-powered platforms online, highlighting a ranking based on average visit duration. The study, conducted by eDiscovery experts Reveal, set out to determine which AI tools captivate users the most by analysing their average visit duration, as well as assembling a seed list from online directories featuring the 100 AI tools with the most organic traffic alongside their own eDiscovery tool, Ask.

Topping the list is Odoo, a versatile business software, with an average visit of 18 minutes and 18 seconds. This duration is notably significant, outpacing other AI tools by a substantial margin. It consistently attracts over 17.6 million visits monthly, with overall engagement reaching 351.8 million page views. This impressive statistic indicates a 192% longer engagement time compared to ChatGPT, a well-known AI language model.

In second place, JanitorAI, a chatbot platform, engages users for an average of 14 minutes and 10 seconds per visit. Despite only holding the second position in terms of average visit duration, JanitorAI recorded an impressive 40.9 million monthly visits, showing a 126% increase in engagement as compared to ChatGPT.

Replit, an automation tool for coding, ranks third with users spending an average of 13 minutes and 42 seconds per session. It sees approximately 7.5 million visits each month, which culminates in nearly 100.7 million page views in total.

Following closely is GPTZero, an AI detector, noted for having an average visit duration of 13 minutes and 13 seconds. The website secures about 6 million monthly visits, highlighting its role as a significant player in the AI tool market.

Character.ai, another recognised chatbot platform, holds the fifth position. With an average visit duration of 11 minutes and 46 seconds, it enjoys a substantial user base with 211.3 million monthly visits, marking it as one of the platforms with the highest engagement in terms of total time spent.

Other prominent AI tools in the top ten include Databricks and Midjourney, which are mainly focused on data analysis and image generation, having average visit durations of 11 minutes and 43 seconds and 10 minutes and 44 seconds, respectively. Chegg, Khan Academy, and Coda also appear in the top ten, with each registering similarly competitive visitation times.

Despite being ranked twentieth by average visit duration, ChatGPT stands out for its sheer engagement volume. With an average session lasting 6 minutes and 16 seconds, the platform garners 2.4 billion visits each month, adding up to a staggering 10.66 million days spent on the site monthly.

Wendell Jisa, founder and CEO of Reveal, shared his thoughts on the findings, noting the transformative role of AI in modern life. He emphasises that the integration of sophisticated AI models offers new potentials for efficiency and effectiveness, reducing the burden of mundane tasks on individuals and allowing them to focus on higher-priority endeavours.

The study also reflects on the role of Reveal’s eDiscovery tool, Ask, which found itself ranked sixtieth in the analysis, with an average engagement time of two minutes and 54 seconds. Jisa recognised the results, expressing satisfaction and optimism about the advancements and future applications as AI technology continues to evolve.

These findings illustrate the varying ways in which users interact with AI tools, shedding light on the dynamics of user engagement and the leading platforms in the ever-expanding AI landscape.
