Dolphin Entertainment, a prominent media and entertainment company based in New York, has announced a strategic partnership with Loti AI, a technology firm focused on artificial intelligence innovations. This collaboration is aimed at enhancing protection services for content and likeness, specifically addressing the growing concerns of unauthorized use, copyright infringement, and deepfake threats online.

The alliance provides Dolphin's clients, which include a diverse range of brands and talent, with sophisticated AI tools crafted by Loti. These tools are designed to scan the internet, identifying potential misuse of content or impersonation attempts that violate copyright laws. The system operates by allowing clients, in collaboration with Dolphin and Loti, to set specific search parameters that help detect and address these issues. Charlie Dougiello, who serves as the Chief Innovation Officer at Dolphin and co-CEO alongside founding partner of The Door, elucidated that clients determine what aspects of their content or likeness are most at risk, and the AI then conducts daily scans to enforce this.

Dougiello expressed confidence in choosing Loti as a partner, citing it as an essential step in expanding Dolphin Entertainment's service offerings. He emphasized that the goal is to utilise AI to aid their clients positively, steering away from the prevalent trepidation surrounding AI technologies. This partnership not only helps safeguard intellectual property but also opens new streams of revenue for Dolphin by supplying in-demand tools for brand safety and content production.

Bill O'Dowd, CEO of Dolphin, underscored the importance of this partnership in a statement, indicating that it aligns with the firm’s strategy to enhance brand safety measures and offers content production solutions that meet modern-day challenges.

Earlier this year, Dolphin expanded its reach by acquiring Elle Communications, a PR agency. The company already boasts a reputable network of specialist agencies that includes 42West, known for its public relations expertise; Shore Fire Media and The Door, both leading PR firms; The Digital Department, an influencer marketing agency; and Special Projects, an agency specializing in celebrity bookings and events.

Financially, Dolphin Entertainment has shown resilience with its recent quarterly reports. In the second quarter, the company recorded a revenue of $11.4 million, marking a 3.8% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. Despite this uptick in revenue, the company experienced an adjusted operating loss of $100,000.

This partnership with Loti AI marks a significant movement for Dolphin Entertainment, illustrating its commitment to innovation and addressing the evolving challenges in digital rights management and brand protection.
