Thai Airways Transforms Digital Infrastructure with Juniper Networks' AI-Powered Solutions
Bangkok, Thailand – Thai Airways has embarked on a significant digital transformation journey by overhauling its network infrastructure with the assistance of Juniper Networks' AI-Powered Networking Solutions. This initiative marks a noteworthy advance in the airline's operational capabilities and customer services, positioning Thai Airways as the first organisation in Thailand to implement Wi-Fi 6E technology using Juniper AP45 access points.
The transition to Juniper’s sophisticated networking solutions at the airline’s headquarters in Bangkok comes as part of a strategic move to modernise its digital framework. The deployment includes not only Wi-Fi 6E but also the integration of Juniper EX Series Ethernet switches, aimed at enhancing core, distribution, and access networks. Such advances are intended to streamline operations and improve customer experience by making processes simpler, more productive, and consistently high-performing at scale.
A pivotal component of the transformation is the introduction of the Marvis Virtual Network Assistant. This tool empowers Thai Airways’ IT team with the capability to swiftly identify and resolve network issues via an intuitive conversational interface. It provides proactive insights, suggests prescriptive actions, and is adept at diagnosing the root causes of connectivity problems, thereby ensuring a seamless and reliable network for both internal and external users.
Tana Kantipan, the Team Lead for Network and Cybersecurity at Thai Airways, expressed satisfaction with the enhancements. Previously, networking issues such as slow and unreliable Wi-Fi hindered productivity within the Bangkok headquarters. Kantipan noted a shift from frequent complaints to commendations following the upgrades, attributing this change to the unified management capabilities of Juniper’s cloud-native solution, which leverages advanced AI operations (AIOps).
On behalf of Juniper Networks, Perry Sui, Area Vice President for ASEAN & Taiwan, commented on the collaboration. Sui expressed enthusiasm about supporting Thai Airways through its digital evolution, highlighting confidence in their ability to provide unparalleled networking experiences. He underlined the company's commitment to facilitating connectivity that supports the airline’s growth and adaptability within the dynamic aviation sector.
Juniper Networks, renowned for its leadership in secure, AI-Native Networking, designed their solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences. Their approach focuses on utilising artificial intelligence to enhance security, reliability, and sustainability in telecommunications from the user edge to the data centre.
This transformation stands to enhance Thai Airways' ability to offer superior online services for booking and managing flights, ultimately aiming to boost customer satisfaction. As the airline continues its international expansion, it’s anticipated that these advanced networking capabilities will ensure efficient connectivity and operational success across its expanding global footprint.
