The Campaign Tech Awards 2025 has officially opened for entries, presenting a platform to celebrate technological advancements and innovation within the UK advertising and marketing sectors. Entrants looking to participate can benefit from an early bird deadline set for Thursday, 6 February 2025.
This year's awards programme sees the introduction of five new categories, reflecting the rapidly evolving landscape of technology in advertising. Among the new categories are two focusing specifically on the use of Artificial Intelligence, labelled as Best Creative Use of AI and Best Operational Use of AI. Additionally, categories such as Best Use of Innovation, Best Use of Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and Tech Team of the Year have been added to further recognise groundbreaking contributions in these areas.
The Campaign Tech Awards event will culminate in a prestigious ceremony scheduled for 5 June 2025 at The Biltmore, located in London's vibrant Mayfair district. The tech editor at Campaign, Lucy Shelley, emphasized the importance of these awards by stating, "The future of advertising has long been about the perfect marriage between creativity, media and technology. It's crucial to honour and celebrate the creative work and thinkers in the advertising and marketing industries."
The introduction of the AR/VR category will be chaired by Snapchat's UK general manager, Bridget Lea. Lea expressed her enthusiasm about the role and highlighted Snapchat's trailblazing efforts in AR innovation. "I feel incredibly honoured to be asked to chair these important awards at such an exciting time for the industry, and I'm so proud of Snap's unique role in trailblazing AR innovation in particular," she remarked on her appointment.
In the previous year's Campaign Tech Awards, the experience design agency Imagination was the standout participant, securing four accolades. Other notable winners included agencies such as Wavemaker UK, PHD, OMD UK, and EssenceMediacom X, each of which received three awards. The 2024 event was attended by over 240 participants, all celebrating campaigns that demonstrated unique and innovative applications of technology over the prior year.
This year's awards promise to be just as competitive and inspiring, with the newly introduced categories showcasing the broadening scope of technological innovations and their influence on the advertising industry.
