The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology-MTR Joint Research Laboratory has developed a dynamic simulation digital twin that leverages extensive daily operational data from various modes of transportation, including metro, bus, trams, and ferry services. This technology allows the MTR Corporation's operations team to gain insights into potential changes in travel patterns and implement strategic responses accordingly.

The digital twin model utilises a comprehensive array of data to forecast fluctuations in passenger flows under diverse scenarios.
