APA Corp. and Palantir Technologies Inc. Extend Partnership to Bolster AI Capabilities in Oil and Gas Operations
Houston, 25 September 2023—Houston-based exploration and production company, APA Corp., and software giant, Palantir Technologies Inc., have announced a significant expansion of their partnership through a new multi-million dollar extension to their enterprise agreement originally initiated in 2021.
The renewed and extended multi-year agreement aims to introduce advanced AI capabilities to APA’s oil and gas operations utilising Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) software. The integration of AIP is expected to enhance several aspects of APA's operational framework. Key functionalities include improving the reliability of production equipment through real-time monitoring and optimising raw material logistics.
Additionally, the AIP software will be employed to scrutinise contract and invoice documents, allowing the detection of anomalies by comparing them against source systems. This should ensure more accurate and efficient administrative processes within the company.

These have spanned supply chain management, operational and maintenance planning, production optimisation, and contract management.
