FTI Consulting Expands Senior Leadership with Strategic Hires

FTI Consulting, headquartered in Washington, D.C., has significantly strengthened its management team by appointing two seasoned professionals, Brian Salsberg and Michael Driscoll, as senior managing directors. These strategic hires aim to enhance the consultancy’s offerings in M&A and national security.

Brian Salsberg: Leading M&A Efforts

Brian Salsberg is set to lead the global M&A practice at FTI Consulting’s New York office. With more than 25 years of extensive experience in strategy and transactions, Salsberg marks a significant addition to the team. Prior to his new role, he served as the global M&A leader in the strategy and transactions group at EY, where he worked for eight years. His career also includes roles as SVP and global chief strategy officer at Avon, and partner at McKinsey & Company. Moreover, Salsberg began his career as a corporate transactions lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.

In his position at FTI Consulting, Salsberg will collaborate with leaders from various teams, including diligence, merger integration, carveout, tax, human capital, and digital, to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients engaging in significant transactions. Scott Bingham, a co-leader of global transactions at FTI Consulting, emphasized Salsberg’s suitability for the role, citing his ability to guide clients through complex transaction challenges and provide candid advice.

Michael Driscoll: Head of National Security Offering

Joining alongside Salsberg is Michael Driscoll, who will lead FTI Consulting’s national security offering. Based also in the New York office, Driscoll's role will encompass advisory and investigative services in critical sectors such as financial services, healthcare, energy, and semiconductors. He transitions to FTI Consulting from a distinguished 26-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he most recently served as assistant director-in-charge of the New York office.

Driscoll brings with him vast expertise in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, criminal investigations, and national security. His background also includes a tenure as an attorney at Trief & Olk. Anthony Ferrante, a senior managing director at FTI Consulting, highlighted the significance of Driscoll's expertise in addressing risks associated with global interconnectedness and technology reliance.

McGivney Kluger Clark & Intoccia has integrated AI-driven applications across its offices to enhance workflow efficiency throughout the litigation process.
