Unison Opens New AI-Infused Headquarters in Tysons
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Unison, a government contractor specialising in "AI-infused software and insights," has officially transitioned its headquarters from Sterling in Loudoun County to a new state-of-the-art facility in Fairfax County. The inauguration of the new office, located at 8444 Westpark Drive, Suite 920, in the Westpark Corporate Center, was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, 24th September.
Unison's CEO, Reid Jackson, highlighted the significance of the move in a press release, stating, "The opening of our new headquarters marks an exciting new chapter for Unison. By relocating to Fairfax County, we’re positioning ourselves at the heart of a vibrant community that aligns with our commitment to innovation and brings us closer to the clients and partners we serve."
This relocation comes after a year-long preparation, focusing on developing a workplace suited to hybrid work schedules. The new office space is designed to facilitate remote work while fostering social interactions and collaboration. Features include private offices, conversation zones for confidential discussions, meeting rooms, and collaborative areas. Additionally, a kitchen and an employee lounge have been designed to double as hubs for gatherings, lunches, and after-work events.
In its community-minded approach, Unison donated furniture and equipment from its previous office in the Loudoun Tech Center to local organisations, which included the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, the Fairfax Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, and two schools in Loudoun County. Jackson expressed, "We are proud to support our community by contributing to these valuable institutions."
Unison, operational for over 40 years, provides artificial intelligence-derived software tools that assist government agencies and contractors with various needs such as contract writing, program management, and budgeting. The company’s software boasts over 200,000 active daily users, according to its website.
The choice of the new location was influenced by several factors, including access to the Greensboro Metro station, retail options at The Boro, as well as the gathering spaces and amenities offered at the Westpark Corporate Center. The office park has been undergoing developments, such as the recent opening of the restaurant 801 Chophouse in the former McCormick & Schmick's space and the planning of a new rooftop exercise facility.
