Building on the concept, Tennis Australia Chief Executive Craig Tiley has announced the creation of "the village," a new zone located between John Cain Arena and Kia Arena. Despite the controversy surrounding last year's 'party court,' Tiley affirmed a commitment to elevating fan experiences at the tournament. Additionally, the 2025 Australian Open will introduce "top court," an attraction near Birrarung Marr featuring an interactive entertainment precinct targeted at younger audiences, blending gaming, virtual reality, food, and fashion.
As part of the grand-scale development plans, the Melbourne and Olympic Parks precinct recently completed a redevelopment, costing nearly $1 billion. The improvements align with broader initiatives to maintain the precinct as a world-class venue, in collaboration with the Victorian government.
