Central to the presentation was the upgraded GIGABYTE AI TOP Utility 2.0. This latest version is designed to streamline AI training processes by supporting leading language models (LMMs). The utility provides users with step-by-step workflows guiding them from model selection using the RAG check to data set creation, fine-tuning, and practical application validation. This enhancement allows users not only to train and fine-tune language models using text, but also to generate images and even short video clips.

In tandem with the software improvements, GIGABYTE has optimised elements of its AI TOP hardware, including SSDs, power supplies, and casings, to ensure high energy efficiency, durability, and effective heat dissipation, all critical for handling intensive AI training tasks. To further support various user needs, GIGABYTE introduced AI TOP 100 and AI TOP 500 setup kits. These kits consist of pre-built barebone systems, offering versatility and future-proofing for both beginners and experienced users, scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Additionally, GIGABYTE revealed new motherboards in their AORUS Z890 and X870 series. The AORUS Z890 series, engineered for the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, incorporates the D5 Bionic Corsa technology, which facilitates AI-assisted overclocking to maximise DDR5 memory performance. The presentation also highlighted the AORUS X870 and X870E series motherboards, which feature an enhanced VRM design intended to optimise the performance of AMD Ryzen™ X3D processors.

These next-generation motherboards complement the AI TOP hardware by introducing models like the Z890 AORUS XTREME AI TOP, Z890 AORUS MASTER AI TOP, and X870E AORUS XTREME AI TOP. These motherboards are not only compatible with the AI TOP Utility but also come optimised for dual-GPU configurations, showcasing the latest Thunderbolt 5 technology to enhance local AI training capabilities.
