IBM has officially launched its new series of language models, Granite 3.0, designed specifically to enhance artificial intelligence applications within the corporate sector. These models, namely Granite 3.0 8B Instruct, Granite 3.0 2B Instruct, Granite 3.0 8B Base, and Granite 3.0 2B Base, signify a significant advancement in AI technology, optimised for versatility and high performance across a myriad of tasks including retrieval augmented generation (RAG), classification, summarisation, and entity extraction.

One of the standout features of the Granite 3.0 models is their scalability and adaptability, making them particularly suitable for integration into diverse business environments and workflows. Despite their compact nature, these models can be finely tuned based on specific enterprise data, offering a highly adaptable solution tailored to meet the unique needs of each organisation.
