In a significant move to enhance collaborative efforts in cybersecurity through generative AI, SentinelOne has announced the extension of its Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This development will see SentinelOne’s Purple AI cybersecurity analyst being powered by Amazon Bedrock, offering AI-driven security solutions to customers.
The extended collaboration brings a focus on empowering enterprises with SentinelOne's AI-powered Singularity Platform, now more readily accessible through the AWS Marketplace. This partnership aims to streamline the provision of end-to-end protection for businesses, utilising SentinelOne’s cutting-edge AI technologies.
Gregor Stewart, Vice President of AI and Machine Learning Engineering at SentinelOne, highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, "SentinelOne is focused on AI-powered security that protects customers against today’s machine-speed attacks and tomorrow’s novel threats. AWS has proven to be an increasingly strategic collaborator when it comes to delivering on that promise and accelerating our shared mission."
Purple AI, a prominent component of SentinelOne's cybersecurity toolkit, assists security teams by automatically translating natural language queries into structured data, summarising events, and guiding analysts through comprehensive investigations with the support of auto-generated reports and collaborative tools. This integration is further enhanced by support for the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF), allowing a unified view of both SentinelOne's and third-party security data.
The partnership expands SentinelOne’s ability to utilise AWS infrastructure, crucial for the continuous development and delivery of innovative security solutions. An interesting aspect of the agreement is the use of Amazon Bedrock's capabilities to allow customers to select specific large language models (LLMs), such as Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet, to tailor Purple AI to their specific needs. This flexibility is facilitated by Amazon Bedrock's comprehensive suite of AI model management and customisation tools.
Guilherme Blanco, Vice President of Infrastructure and IT at EBlock, expressed enthusiasm over the collaboration, noting the operational efficiencies and enhanced protection it brings to businesses by enabling quicker deployment and procurement of security solutions.
In tandem with the expansion, SentinelOne is making strategic moves to leverage AWS's co-sell program, enhancing visibility and accessibility of the Singularity Platform on the AWS Marketplace. This initiative aims to simplify the procurement process for customers, providing them with a trusted and familiar vehicle to obtain top-tier cybersecurity solutions.
