Panasonic Industry has made a significant stride in the realm of automation by launching the MINAS A7 servo drive family, now available for customer orders across Europe. As the industry's first commercial AI-equipped servo system, the MINAS A7 sets a new benchmark by incorporating cutting-edge AI technology to simplify and enhance the tuning process considerably, offering a performance boost that negates the necessity for expert intervention.

The drive system employs Panasonic’s proprietary precAIse tuning, leveraging artificial intelligence to provide highly precise automatic tuning. This innovation substantially reduces the setup time, reportedly by up to 90%, allowing for swift deployment across various applications. The MINAS A7 is tailored to improve both performance and ease of use, streamlining the installation and operational processes inherent to servo systems.

Key to the MINAS A7's appeal is its ability to execute tasks autonomously that typically required specialist attention due to performance limitations of prior automated tuning systems. The series boasts an exceptional encoder resolution of 27 bits and 134,217,728 pulses per time, marking it as an industry leader in motion performance. Its speed response frequency surpasses the 4.0 kHz mark, further highlighting its superior control capabilities.

Additionally, the servo motor in the MINAS A7 series can achieve a maximum rotation speed of 7,150 revolutions per minute, significantly contributing to reduced cycle times in industrial applications. The system's compact design not only saves space but also proves cost-effective, a crucial consideration for many industries.

Further uses include IC handlers, bonding equipment, metal and laser processing machines, injection moulding equipment, presses, and pipe-bending machinery, where the reliability and efficiency improvements promised by the MINAS A7 could lead to significant operational advancements.
