Moncler, the esteemed Italian luxury fashion brand, has unveiled a new collaborative collection with Chinese artist Lulu Li. This venture, part of Moncler's 'City of Genius' initiative, pairs the brand with avant-garde visionaries to create innovative fashion expressions. The Moncler x Lulu Li collaboration premiered during Shanghai Fashion Week, epitomizing a blend of artistry and cutting-edge technology.

Lulu Li's capsule collection is intimately inspired by her explorations and experiments with artificial intelligence. It offers an avant-garde take on Moncler's traditionally acclaimed silhouettes. These futuristic reimaginings include a variety of apparel such as down jackets, vests, and adaptable city-ready layers. Crafted with the philosophy of transitioning 'from bits to atoms,' the collection represents a harmonious fusion of digital conceptualisation with tangible craftsmanship.

The launch event showcased the collection in an immersive setup designed by Lulu Li herself. This presentation involved a one-way mirror installation that skilfully manipulated light, reflection, and perception. This setting brought to life Lulu Li’s theme of transforming digital pixels into wearable art. Within this space, Li curated an experience merging celestial and terrestrial elements, dominated by a uniquely luminous and reflective centerpiece. The collection itself features bold digital aesthetics interwoven with minimalist Zen influences, displayed through puffy silhouettes in gentle ivory and cream hues, as well as glossy black outerwear. It also includes hybrid pieces that ingeniously mesh elements of modern workwear with casualwear.

Moncler's 'City of Genius' initiative serves as a broader platform promoting global creativity and innovation. It invites creatives and audiences alike to ponder the central theme, "How do you live Genius?" Within this context, the event took place across a sprawling 30,000 square meter space, which strategically emulated distinct neighbourhoods. Each area provided a stage for new collections and experiences developed by a diverse lineup of global creative talents. Among those involved were Edward Enninful, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Donald Glover, Willow Smith, Nigo, A$AP Rocky, Rick Owens, and Jil Sander.

The Moncler x Lulu Li project is part of this multifaceted showcase where luxury fashion, art, design, and entertainment intersect and catalyse new dialogues about creativity and innovation. Through these collaborations, Moncler continues to redefine fashion boundaries, creating not just garments, but transformative wearable art.
