The summaries are personalised for viewers based on the last moment of content they watched, facilitating a seamless return to their favourite shows.
The X-Ray Recaps feature aims to enhance engagement and minimise interruptions for viewers who may have paused viewing a series or taken an extended break from watching. By providing succinct overviews, it helps viewers reacquaint themselves with the storyline swiftly and effectively, without the hassle of rewinding or searching online for summaries, which could lead to spoilers or redundant re-watching.
This new feature extends Prime Video’s existing X-Ray functions, which have been popular for delivering trivia, cast information, soundtrack details, and production insights about content. X-Ray has also been integrated into Prime Video’s coverage of live sports, such as NFL Thursday Night Football, offering viewers enhanced telecasts with detailed player statistics and highlights.
