As of November 6, 2024, Hitachi Vantara, a subsidiary of the renowned Hitachi, Ltd., commemorated the fifth anniversary of its Global Development and Delivery Centre (GDDC) in Hyderabad. This centre has played a crucial role in the company’s strategic operations, significantly enhancing service delivery to over 300 customers worldwide. The GDDC has become synonymous with operational excellence from providing specialised services in storage, file, content, data protection, and hybrid cloud to delivering a comprehensive suite of multi-vendor solutions.
Crucially, the Hyderabad centre executes 90% of Hitachi Vantara’s managed services dedicated to large enterprise customers, positioning it as a driving force behind digital transformation. This success is underpinned by its robust infrastructure, accredited with multiple industry certifications like ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and ISO 22301. These certifications underscore the centre’s commitment to service, security, and quality.
Jeb Horton, Senior Vice President of Global Pathways, Solutions and Enablement, highlighted the centre’s significant contribution over the years, particularly in fostering skills necessary for thriving in complex technological landscapes. Investment in the centre aims to reinforce its status as a hub of innovation, particularly in emerging technologies such as AI, hybrid cloud, and data protection.
In a complementary announcement, ETS, a global education and talent solutions organisation, introduced Mona Agarwal as the General Manager leading its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India. Her appointment is a strategic move in ETS’s continued expansion within India’s dynamic GCC environment, demonstrating the company’s commitment to leveraging the country’s vast talent reservoir.
Mona Agarwal brings a wealth of experience to ETS, with over 25 years in leadership roles across education, media, and software industries. She expressed her enthusiasm in guiding ETS’s operations during a transformative period for both the company and the broader education sector. Under her leadership, ETS aims to increase its workforce in India to approximately 600 employees by 2025, with significant roles earmarked for Hyderabad.
