Jessica Rivera, Vice President of Operations at Baptist Health North Little Rock, describes this AI as "another second set of eyes." Among the key advancements made possible by the AI is its role in identifying early signs of multiple sclerosis (MS) and ARIA (Amyloid-related Imaging Abnormalities), which involves microbleeding in the brain. The AI software's ability to compare historical MRI scans with new ones enables healthcare professionals to detect any progression in disease processes more swiftly and accurately.

"The AI highlights areas of the brain that warrant closer examination," Rivera explained. "This allows radiologists to identify potential issues that might have been overlooked without the aid of AI." In doing so, the technology not only contributes to more accurate diagnoses but also improves efficiency by expediting the review of brain images.

Importantly, this AI software is not confined to Baptist Health’s North Little Rock location. Rivera noted that it is employed across all of Baptist Health’s facilities for MRI examinations, making it the first hospital group in Arkansas to integrate such technology comprehensively.
